I've had throwbacks from Nike, Brooks, Saucony, Adidas, New Balance, and Etonics. This is my first pair of Onitsuka Tigers, and they've been fantastic. The first day I wore them, I wore them all day. They are light and stylish, and a piece of history. As with many running shoes from those times, they can run a little narrow. The weird tongue in the back (see image) doesn't always stay down, but will often flip up. I see the utility (using it to leverage your foot into narrow shoes), but it looks goofy when it's flipped up and won't stay down. The colors on these shoes are subtle but very smooth, with a deep rich india ink and a light, creamy birch. Overall, I like the shoes and will likely buy them again.
